Questions

What do I need to use Mobile Builds?

An Apple Developer account with access to Xcode Cloud, plus iOS 26, macOS 26 or visionOS 26 (or later).

How do I authenticate to AppStore Connect?

Take a look at Apple's guide for creating an API Key.

Once authenticated you can sync your details securely across your devices using iCloud Keychain.

Does Mobile Builds store my credentials?

No. Credentials live in the system or iCloud Keychain and are used to talk directly to Apple's APIs. Nothing is sent to our servers — we don't run any.

Can I use Mobile Builds with Xcode or Claude Code?

Yes, on a Mac. A small MCP server helper runs alongside Mobile Builds and answers questions about your apps, workflows and failing runs — see Installing the MCP server helper.

Xcode 26.3 or later adds it as a plug-in, and the same plug-in installs in Claude Code. See Using Mobile Builds from Xcode.

It's read-only — starting and re-running builds still happens in the app.

Is the MCP server safe to run?

It binds to 127.0.0.1 only, so nothing off your Mac can reach it. The helper holds no App Store Connect credentials — it reads through Mobile Builds, which has to be running and unlocked, and the two check each other's code signatures before exchanging anything.
